RALEIGH, N.C. — NC State’s women improved to 2-0 with an 80-45 win over Campbell on Wednesday night at Reynolds Coliseum, a blowout that also gave the program its 1,100th all-time victory before an announced crowd of 4,912 at Reynolds.

Forward Khamil Pierre paced the Wolfpack with 21 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes, her second straight double-double and the 45th of her career. She scored the game’s first basket, pushed past 1,500 career points on a first-quarter putback, and added three steals and two blocks.

Campbell stayed within reach early, and the score sat at 21-16 for NC State early in the second quarter before the Camels started turning the ball over. NC State answered with transition baskets, finished with 20 steals — its highest total since a November 2021 game against Wofford — and outscored Campbell 47-13 in the second and third quarters combined. The Pack converted 15 of 18 transition and fast-break chances while Campbell finished with 24 turnovers.

Guard Zoe Brooks scored 16 points with five assists and moved into 24th on NC State’s career scoring list at 1,360 points. Annsley Trivette added 10 points off the bench. Desiree Wooten and Ky’She Lunan also finished with five assists each, and Lunan led the team with five steals. The Wolfpack have now opened 2-0 for the first time since the 2023-24 season. Campbell fell to 0-2.

NC State also beat Wofford 80-50 in Monday’s opener and has outscored opponents by about 32.5 points a night through two games. Sunday’s home date with Kentucky is the next test on the schedule.
