What to Expect for Schools

With hazardous driving conditions caused by snow, ice, and potential freezing rain, many school districts have decided to play it safe. Here’s how different districts in the area are handling the storm:

  • Anson County Schools will operate under a remote learning day.
  • Alexander County Schools are also moving to a remote learning day.
  • Cabarrus County Schools will shift to remote learning for the day.
  • Caldwell County Schools will start with a two-hour delay.
  • Catawba County Schools will also have a two-hour delay.
  • Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) will kick off the day with a two-hour delay.
  • Cleveland County Schools will operate under a two-hour delay.
  • Fort Mill School District will close all schools and district facilities.
  • Gaston County Schools will conduct a remote learning day.
  • Iredell-Statesville Schools will also implement remote learning.
  • Kannapolis City Schools will be closed for the day.
  • Lancaster County Schools plans on a two-hour delay.
  • Lincoln County Schools will operate under a remote learning day.
  • Mooresville Graded School District will be moving to remote learning.
