Frenchie Denise (Lackey) Flowers passed away on May 22, 2025. A native of Charlotte, NC, she also spent time living in Kansas City, MO, Leavenworth, KS, and Statesville, NC. Frenchie was surrounded by her husband and stepchildren at the time of her passing. Born on August 19, 1971, her family described her as a loving wife and mother, a role that defined much of her life.

Clarence “Timmy” Flowers, 41

Clarence “Timmy” Flowers died on February 20, 2025, at the age of 41. A resident of Kountze, TX, Timmy was born on December 13, 1983, in Beaumont, TX, and is survived by his wife, Alma Martinez, and their children, Nakona Flowers and Chaska Flowers. His family connections extend to his mother, Tina Garza, and father, Brad Flowers, both of whom survive him, along with their respective spouses. The gathering for family and friends was held on February 27, 2025, followed by a funeral service on February 28, which took place at Honey Island Assembly of God, with interment at Bracken Cemetery. Timmy’s legacy lives on through his siblings and extended family, which includes numerous other relatives.

Melanie Anne McElduff, 67

Melanie Anne McElduff (Flow) passed away on May 19, 2025, following a long battle with cancer. Born on June 3, 1957, Melanie was a lifelong Charlotte resident and played a vital role in her family’s business, International Steel, alongside her brothers. She was actively involved with the Gold Star Wives of America, dedicating herself to supporting families of fallen service members. Melanie is survived by her daughter Jennifer Flow, her son-in-law Andrew Fuentes, her brother Jim McElduff, sister-in-law Judy Sims, and her goddaughter Lori Curran. A visitation was held on May 24, 2025, providing an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects.

Charlotte Delores Hopkins, 92

Charlotte Delores (Conquergood) Hopkins passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 92. Born in Conrad, MT, on July 11, 1932, she graduated from Great Falls High School in 1950. In 1951, Charlotte married Charles Hopkins Sr., with whom she shared 68 years of marriage until his passing. Throughout her life, Charlotte was active in her community, working as a cook at Buttrey’s Grill and serving as an aide in Great Falls Public Schools. An active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, she contributed her talents to the Alter Guild. Charlotte is survived by her sons, Robert and Chuck Jr., daughters Debbie Hopkins, Doreen Gondeiro, and Diane Miller, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life took place on December 7, 2024, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where family and friends gathered to honor her memory.
