Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve just been involved in doing different clean-ups.” He emphasizes how The Nest isn’t only a place to receive help, but also a chance to give back. “Especially during this time, during November and December, that extra $100 or $200 is just very beneficial,” he added, referring to the assistance available. The programs offered by the coalition don’t discriminate based on income, and there’s no requirement to be behind on bills to receive support.

The North End Community Coalition recently received a generous donation of $6,000 to make more good things happen in the community. “It’s going to allow us to help our residents and do some more programming,” Gaston stated enthusiastically. “It’s always great. Donations are how we get our work done.” It’s heartwarming to see communities coming together, not just to provide immediate relief but also to foster long-lasting improvements.
