Local Middle Schoolers Invited to Free TRF Camp Build Experience

Huntersville, NC (March 4, 2025) – The Rosendin Foundation, a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to positively impacting communities and empowering individuals, announces the return of TRF Camp Build, a free summer camp designed to ignite the joy of building in middle school students. This summer, TRF Camp Build is in Huntersville for the first time, taking place from July 7-11, 2025 at Rosendin, 10028 Torrence Ford Rd, Ste. 200.

TRF Camp Build is a unique, free weeklong co-ed day camp tailored for current 6th-8th graders. The camp offers an immersive hands-on experience, providing participants with valuable skills that extend beyond the program’s duration. Space is limited; parents can register middle schoolers for an exciting week of construction, skill-building, and fun. The deadline for registration is March 31, 2025.

Under the expert guidance of skilled professionals, students will engage in a variety of activities, including personal safety training, concrete pouring and rebar shoring, soldering, pipe bending, Building Information Modeling (BIM), heavy equipment operation, framing, woodworking, roofing, and painting. These activities expose participants to a lifelong appreciation for building and a spectrum of career opportunities.

Throughout the program, students will actively learn by working on interactive projects, such as wiring lamps, pouring concrete for stepping stones, and building a group project like a bookcase or doghouse. Group projects are donated to a local community nonprofit, allowing participants to apply their newfound skills while making a positive impact.
